Police rule death as homicide
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE individual who police said was assisting them with their investigation into the death of Mario ‘Reggie’ Riley was charged with Murder.
Police have ruled Riley’s death as a homicide and gave the alleged accused name as Shakeem Thomas of Basseterre.
The 25-year-old was today (Mar. 23) charged with the capital offence and remains in police custody.
In a release earlier this month, polic stated that the Tabernacle resident was reported missing and was last seen on Thursday (Mar. 3) clad in a black, plain T-shirt, long black pants and a pair of black and white sneakers.
However, on Friday (Mar. 18), police had found the decomposing body of the 40-year-old Riley along a dirt road leading to Beaumont Park in Dieppe Bay.
