BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - MET officials are said to be closely monitoring an area of disorganised showers as the first major wave for the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season.
With the 2022 Season expected to be above normal, officials are keeping a close watch on a tropical wave located over the eastern tropical Atlantic that continues to produce a large area of disorganised showers and thunderstorms.
Met officials said that environmental conditions appear conducive for development of this system over the next few days, and a tropical depression could form during the early to middle part of next week while it moves westward around 15 mph over the tropical Atlantic, and approaches the Windward Islands.
