Stone Fort man slapped with gun, ammo charges

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE police have slapped 25-year-old Morris Murray of Stone Fort Heights Extension for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition. In a media statement, police said that following the execution of a search warrant on a premises in Stone Fort on Sunday (Feb. 27), ranks had found and took into custody one Ruger 9S Pistol with several rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Morris was also taken into police custody, where he remains, and subsequently charged for the offences on Monday (Mar. 1). This is the second illegal firearm to have been removed from the streets of the Federation for the year.
